Service dogs are not required to wear any form of vest, or identification under the Americans with disabilities act. But out of respect I still have a vest with patches on my service dog. I was denied access with my service dog to your location even though me and my friend stated over 4 times that he’s a service dog. If you need to find out if it’s a service dog, a business can ask 2 questions, “is that a service dog required for a disability?” and “what tasks does it provide to mitigate your disability?” It is stated as such in the ada. You may find the information on ada.gov
Do your research as a buisness, it’s important.
The worker just told us immediately upon me entering told us “no dogs” and both me and my roommate said “it’s a service dog” your worker then tells us “I dunno bout that shit but I ain’t getting fired, it’s no dogs” we then proceed to explain “its illegal to deny a service dog, he’s medical equipment. It’s like denying someone because of their wheelchair or oxygen tank” he told us “it’s no dogs” we gave up at that point because my blood pressure was spiking and I just needed to get off my feet before I feint.
Picture of my service dog and the vest he was wearing is attached
to the owner, legally you cannot turn away service dogs unless this is changed in a week when we return expect a public display of the illegal activity in your shops being distributed on socal media and news outlets
