True North Cannabis Co – Windsor Dispensary

I am writing this review because I have encountered a lack of professionalism and poor customer service from True North.

I have been a customer at this location since it opened. Over the years, the store is slowly falling apart.

Just entering the store can be enough to turn a customer away because of the barriers that prevent customers from entering the store. There is no greeter, and it can take up to 20 minutes for someone to come let you in. The budtenders are talking and singing, rather than checking customers out.

Their Pricing.
Since purchasing from True North I have watched prices of almost everything go up. When other stores remain the same price. They blamed it on their supplier. They claim to price match and beat their competitor’s prices by 5%, but this only applies if the competitor’s price is below their listed ‘book price’.

The Customer Service.
Subpar, to say the least. Most times you enter the store, you are greeted with a yelling budtender telling you that they will be with you shortly. However, when there are multiple people in line and at the door waiting to be greeted, this experience can be overwhelming. Some of the employees don’t seem to care or follow their own rules and seem to be making up the rules as they go along. They lack knowledge about the cannabis culture.

By the time you are finally at the counter, the employees like to dance and sing to terrible, non-cannabis-related music. It takes easily 15 minutes, with the wrong employee, to price match and buy one item.

Loyalty as a customer has been diminished. They used to have a point system in place that was removed completely, and no customer was informed about it nor compensated for the lost points accumulated over time. Unfortunately, I have found that as a customer, my loyalty has diminished due to the discontinuation of the point system.

They sometimes honor price matches, but their policy is inconsistent. They claim to beat their competitor’s prices by 5%, but this can change frequently. If you find a good price to match, they may change their ‘book price’ to avoid beating it.

All in all, I’m giving this place 2 stars for these reasons. These issues have been brought up to managers, but nothing gets done about it. These issues will continue, and more will pop up. Unfortunately, this is just a summary of what I’d like to say.

Bought some chronic, the budtender Sierra was very helpful and pleasant. She suggested some good papers for my purchase but unfortunately can’t roll js haha.
